EDISON
Privacy
Short and plain: what this website collects, and what it doesn't.
This website
- No cookies, no ad trackers. This site does not set cookies or load advertising or tracking scripts.
- Visit counts: none today. If anonymous visit counts are added later, they will use no cookies, collect no names, and this page will say so first.
- Fonts and code libraries load from Google Fonts and jsDelivr, which see your IP address the way any website you load something from does.
The crew list
- If you join the crew list, we keep your email address and, if you wrote one, your answer to "what would your Edison do first?".
- We use it only to tell you about Edison and the Edison Crew. We never sell it or share it for anyone else's marketing.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time: just reply to any crew email.
- The list is kept with Kit (formerly ConvertKit), the email service that sends the crew emails. You confirm by email before you're added, so nobody can sign you up without you.
The "Try him" demo
- The demo runs in your browser on a script with made-up data. What you type to Edison is not sent anywhere; it stays on the page and is gone when you leave.
- If you use the microphone button, your browser's own speech recognition turns your words into text. Some browsers (Chrome, for example) do this on their maker's servers. If you'd rather not, type instead.
- Edison's voice in the demo is recorded audio files, played on your device.
Edison himself
The real Edison runs on your own computer. His hearing and voice are local; his thinking uses your own Claude account. He reads your accounts only with your permission and asks before he spends, posts, sends or deletes anything.
